With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Edwin Freed of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edwin Freed Jr. and Virginia Lucille Freed (Dunham); his cousin Paul Manley; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Harrison and Pat Burchel.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Freed (Gleason); his children, Janet Lynn Strate (Jim Strate Jr.) and Jerry Wayne Freed (Carmen Freed); his grandchildren, Justin William Strate (Lexi), Jarred William Strate (Victoria), Vann Freed and Vail Phipps (Braden); his great grandchildren, Layton Strate, Jentry Strate, Graham Strate and Leddy Strate; his sister Judy Babbit (Ron); his cousins, Mary Taff and Robert Manley; and his brother-in-law Phil.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Et Floral Haven Funeral Home (6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Et the Park Church of Christ (10600 E 96th St S, Tulsa, OK 74133).
