She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Merle and Mary Fern Shields (Davis); her husband Wesley Barnett; and her brother Larry Shields. She is survived by: her daughters, Becky McMurphy and Brenda Staires (Troy); her grandchildren, Kacie Urbeck (Kevin), Ryan McMurphy (Nora), Heather Tapp (Jamie) and Jason Staires; her great grandchildren, Kamdyn Tapp, Boston Tapp, Paislee Staires and Owen Staires; and her siblings, Danny Shields, Kari Day (Steve) and Joella Walker (Vernon). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
