She was predeceased by: her parents, D. E. "Dee" Schirmer and Jeanne Schirmer (Patton); her son John Thompson; and her sister Jean Ann Brinlee. She is survived by: her daughter Laura J. McClain (Jim); her grandchildren, Colton, Riley and Mikala McClain; her sister Susan Hendrex; her nieces, Katie Edwards, Leigh Dorsey and Sarah Hendrex; her close friend Bill Marrs; and her caregiver Julie Lee. She is also survived by her great nephews, great niece, cousins and brother in laws.
