He is survived by: his wife Harriett Schmees (Gannaway); his siblings, Dorothy Carey (Schmees) of Houston, Cathey Bishop (Schmees) of Irving, David Schmees (Liz) of Oklahoma City and Therese Becker (James) of Columbus, Texas; his children, Stephen Schmees (Carmen) of Lauf and Anne Cunningham (Brad) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Lindsey Cunningham, William Cunningham of Broken Arrow and Kristin Gruber (Fabian) of Lauf, Germany; and his great grandchildren, Robin Gruber and Tommi Gruber of Lauf. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
