He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Johnson and Madie Johnson (Cockerham); and his brothers, David Johnson and Cleo Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson; his children, Christine Barnes of Hampton, Virginia, Curtis Gill of Port Orchard, Washington, David Johnson (Amy) and Joe (Joyce Johnson); his sisters, Francis Tatum of Broken Bow, Betty Allen of Broken Bow and Mary Phillips of Smithville, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Charlie Nicole Hofert, Curtis James Johnson, Justin Pitt, Markki Hedrick and Kaylin Dewald. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home (205 N Broadway St, Broken Bow, OK 74728). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
