He is survived by: his sons, Chucky McGowen (Greta) of Broken Bow and David McGowen of Broken Bow; and his grandchildren, Timothy McGowen, Summer, Melissa Kilmer, Jason, Stephanie Trougakos, Nick, Kristy Jack, Jonathan McGowen, Jessica, Amy Batchelor, Sarah Doolittle and Deyman. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as his church family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunch - Singleton Funeral Home Chapel (205 N Broadway St, Broken Bow, OK 74728). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Assembly of God Church.
