With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Holmes of Bunch, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Holmes and Allene Holmes (Glory); his son Ricky Holmes; and his siblings, Manuel Holmes, Henry Holmes Jr. and Joyce James.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Holmes of Bunch; his children, Christopher Holmes (Kirsten), Baby Boy Holmes (Candace), Jennie Diver and Rolinda Thirsty (Jimmy); his sisters, Mildred Bolin and Evelyn Adair; and his pet JJ. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
