He was predeceased by : his wife Betsy Aguilar; his parents, Vidal Aguilar and Felipa Aguilar; and his siblings, Jesse Aguilar, John Aguilar, Joe Aguilar, Lupe Aguilar, Linda Lowhorn and Mary Howard.

He is survived by : his children, Phillip Aguilar, Jr., Dr. Kinde Aguilar (Lindsay Aguilar) of Oklahoma City and Jacob Aguilar of Vancouver, Washington; and his grandsons, Dillon Williams of Miami and Milo Aguilar of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and friends.
