Richard Wayne Akin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 27, 2025, at the age of 81, Richard Wayne Akin of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harrison Akin and Betty Lou Farrell (Jackson); his grandparents, Jackson and Grandpa Akin (Grandma Akin); and his brothers, John Akin, Wally Farrell and Pete Farrell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Akin (Carey); his children, Richard Akin Jr. (Jennifer) of Daisy, OK and Sherry Bayles (David) of Stringtown, OK; his grandsons, Jonathan Thacker of Durant, OK, Bryan Bayles of Stringtown, OK and Lawrence Akin of Daisy, OK; his great grandchildren, Xoe Thacker of Durant, OK, Jay Thacker of Durant, OK and Brylee Bayles of Atoka, OK; and his sister Linda Sue Ball of Washington, OK. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear and loved friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Chapel (718 W 13th St, Atoka, OK 74525).
