James L. Wagoner Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2025, at the age of 89, James L. Wagoner of Calera, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Wagoner and Mae Wagoner (Newkirk); his siblings, Jerrell, Herman Wagoner and Jolene Knipe; his daughter JoVon Davis; and his brother-in-law Buddy Manners.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Wagoner (Collins); his sister Nell Manners of Calera, OK; and his children, James Wagoner Jr. (Kimberly) of Oklahoma City, Karen Loerwald (Tom) of Kingston, John Wagoner (Cheryl) of Tuttle, Sharon Reynolds (J. R.) of Goose Creek and Kim Nixon (Teresa) of New Castle. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Service - Durant (4900 W Hwy 70, Durant, OK 74701). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Rosehill Cemetery.
