He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Lanore (Sanders) and Thomas Leroy Bowen; and his siblings, Ramona Cox, Jean Ridley, Quata Porter and Durwood Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Bowen (Mattingly); his children, Stefani Dawn Bowen (Grant Bennett) and Shawn Bowen of Calera, Oklahoma; his siblings, Deanie Citty of Hayworth, Ruth Daniel (W. C.) of Coleman, Barbara Wells (Stephen) of Durant, Oklahoma and Randell Bowen of Calera, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Haley Sohasky (Josiah), Lexie Bennett, Joshua Bennett, Tori Bennett and Harly Smith; and his great grandchild Virginia Kate Sohasky.
A memorial service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Prairie View Church.
