She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Alexander (Griffin) and William Alexander; her granddaughter Carrie Yates; and her brothers, Bobby Compton and Michael Alexander.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin William Yates; her children, Joshua Yates (Kelly) of Spencer, Anthony Yates (Neang) of Prattsville, Dakota Compton of Belview, Nebraska, Carol Harris of Canadian and Cheri Stutsman of Phoenix, Arizona; and her siblings, William Alexander Jr. (Edith) of Douglasville, Georgia, Patricia Feenstra (Jimmy) of Villarico, Myra Alexander of Jacksonville, Angela Daniels of Jacksonville and Tara Hall of Newman, Georgia. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
