With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Fairchild of Checotah, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 20, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, August Brinsfield and Myrtle Brinsfield (Short); her sons, Franky, Gary and Jerry; her siblings, Carl, David Brinsfield and Faye Ashby; and her grandson Jason Fairchild.
She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy Fairchild (Elizabeth) of Checotah, Roger Fairchild of Fort Gibson and Will Fairchild (Charlotte) of Checotah; her siblings, Randy Brinsfield (Lisa), Nadine Parker (Jimmy) and Darlene Metcalf; and her grandchildren, Ryan Fairchild, Stacey Smith, Misty Westfall, Justin Fairchild, Jerry Fairchild, Measa Carper, Mitch Fairchild, Casey Fairchild, Trey Fairchild and Shelby Fairchild. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service (211 W Okmulgee Ave, Checotah, OK 74426). Viewing was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service (211 W Okmulgee Ave, Checotah, OK 74426). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Triplett Cemetery (116335 S 4246 Rd, Eufaula, OK 74432).
