Carolyn leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carolyn’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Carolyn will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Rorex and Anna Rorex; her brother John Rorex of Silo; and her brothers-in-law, Billy Joe McCullough of Tishomingo and Prentiss Wade of Tulsa.
She is survived by: her close friend Carol; her son Steven Don Carr of Checotah, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Kenneth Rorex (Caryle) of Gore, Helen McCullough of Tishomingo and Shirley Wade of Tulsa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service (211 W Okmulgee Ave, Checotah, OK 74426). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
