He was predeceased by: his father Larry Dale Staton; his brother Jeff Staton; his nephew Travis Scott; his uncles, Eldon Arnold and Kenneth Staton; and his grandparents, Harvey Staton, Orpha Staton, Cooper and Hazel Cooper.
He is survived by: his mother Leona Faye Allwhite (Cooper) of Checotah, Oklahoma; his wife Cathy Staton; his sons, Isaiah Gibson (Jordan) of McAlester, Wesley Wasson of Checotah, Matt Wasson of Henryetta, Jacob Staton of Texas and Joseph Staton (Allison King) of McAlester, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Legend Scroggins, Jessica Bedard, Hayden Gibson, Travis Wasson, Jaycee Wasson, MJ Wasson, Khloee Wasson and Lyla King; his aunt Wanda Arnold of Wainwright; and his close friend Dwight McCullough.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service (211 W Okmulgee Ave, Checotah, OK 74426).
