She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Perry and Juanita Cunningham (Winchell); and her brothers, Dennis Hugh Cunningham and Charles Curl. She is survived by: her husband Ora Theodore "Ted"; her children, James Robert Sharp (Jill) of Spring, TX, Ora Theodore Sharp II (Tricia) of Sand Springs, OK and Jennifer Louise Palmer (Cody) of Yukon, OK; her grandchildren, Jaxon Sharp (Sarah Sullivan), Jaden White (Josh), Justin Sharp (Cassidy), Theodore Sharp (Emily), Ashlyn Palmer and Megan Palmer (Derrick Sutton); her great grandchildren, Alister Sharp, Rowan Sharp, Millie Sharp and Linkin Sharp; and her aunt Judy Merritt of California. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, other extended family, and a lifetime of wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, Joan has requested memorial giving to either the Checotah Methodist Church or the Gary Sinise Foundation. Joan's wishes were to not receive any flowers for her service, but instead donate in her memory to one of the following: Gary Sinise Foundation https://www.garysinisefoundation.org.
