It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Murlene Dewey (Chelsea, Oklahoma), who passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Idus Watkins and Icie Lee Watkins (Holt); her children, Mickey Dewey (Teresa), Jimmy Dewey (Carol) and Dorothy Dewey Mullis (Brent); her husband Rev. Leroy Junior Dewey; her grandson Jeremy Brent Mullis; her great grandchild Alyssa Mae Tyler; her great great grandchild Bennett Grey Tyler; her siblings, R. C. Watkins (Anna Marie), Argil Watkins (Virgina) and Edna Mae Cannonie; and her nephew Larry Watkins.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Melissa Tyler (Jason), Clint Roy Dewey, Angela "Angie" Dewey, Anthony Grant Dewey (Delsea), Jamie LaRaeVeysey and Alan Dale Mullis; her great grandchildren, Drew Dylan Tyler (Rachel), Halee Faith Tyler (Taurus Yorkman), Christian Dewey (Marcy), Sean Dewey (Johannah), Kraven Dewey, Stephen Dewey, Brayden, Koko Martin, Talya Ranae Plummer (Felix), Ethan Daniel Veysey and Jeremy Ryan Veysey; her great great grandchildren, Avery Mae Tyler, Kai Damon Yorkman, Parker Elizabeth Tyler, Violet Dewey and Reign Dewey; her brothers, Pete Watkins (Margaret) and Kenny Watkins (Linda); and her cousin Ruth Beller. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
