He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lee Newton and Tola Mae Newton (Butler); and his stepdaughter Sherri Newton. He is survived by: his former wife Glenda Jo Jones; his wife Karen Sue Newton (Thomas); his granddaughter Paige Helteel of Chickasha; and his sisters, Mae Delozier, Jenny Barrington of Ada and Sue Jones of Ninnekah.
