She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Newsome; her stepfather George Nicholas; her mother Mary Elizabeth Lyner (Mangum); and her sisters, Joan Elizabeth Matthews and Brenda Gail Newsome.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa (Dave Schimming) of Georgia, Cathy (Lee Ring) of Texas and Debborah Harp of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Blake Mills, Coley Harp, Carley Wiseman and Markie Hays; and her siblings, Danny Green (Denise Lorenzo), Sherri Green and Betty Lou Riggins. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
