It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karl Ray Pate in Chickasha, Oklahoma, born in Mitchell, Indiana, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Pate and Virginia Pate (Goldsberry); his wife Rebecca Ann McCullough; his sister Karen Porter; and his stepdaughter Teresa Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Pate of Greenfield, IN, Jerry Pate of Greenfield, IN and Tawnya; his stepchildren, Dianne Stegner (Charles) of Marlow, Clarence "Billy" Burton of Liberty, TX, Terri Ritchison (Doug) of Bedford, IN and Joanne Spaulding (James) of Bedford, IN; his grandson Justin; his great grandchildren, Stratton Taylor, Harris Taylor, Tru Taylor and Theron Taylor of Georgetown, TX; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Elizabeth Dysart (Chet) of Comanche, Jeremy Fields (Faye) of Las Vegas, NV, C. J. Fields (Victoria) of Bedford, IN and Jennifer Fields (April) of Bedford, IN; Paityn Speer, Benlee Lassley of Comanche and Paxton Fields of Bedford, IN. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and, nieces, and cousins.
