He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Hays and Goldie Inez Ruth Hays (Lawler); and his close friend Phil Gordon. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie; his wife Shirley Hays; his daughter Stacey Scott of Frisco, Texas; his son-in-law Charles McCall of Atoka; his grandchildren, Abigale Hirsekorn (Cody Moore) of Edmond, Margaret Hirsekorn of Las Colinas, Chase McCall and Carson Hays McCall of Atoka; and his cousins, Drew Hays, Eddie Hays of Weatherford and Brooks Puckett of Dallas. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
