He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Shunk Jr. and Christine Eugenia Shunk (Shelton); and his stepmother Billie Shunk. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Marie Shunk; his sons, Donald "Don" Frank Shunk Jr. of Maryland and David Frank Shunk (Jaime) of Barnsdall; his grandchildren, Blaise Shunk, Michaela Shunk and Kylie Shunk; and his sisters, Kaye Stillwell of Shawnee and Barbara Ollis (Denny) of Shawnee. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Asa Smith Funeral Service (2039 Tim Holt Dr, Harrah, OK 73045). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
