He was predeceased by: his father Rick Thompson of Miami. He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Eli and Hannah; his mother Marilyn Thompson of Joplin, Missouri; and his sister DaAnn Morris of Carl Junction, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Chad's memory to Upon the Waters, a ministry in Paraguay led by the family's dear friends, Peter and Evi Ratcliffe.
