He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin Walton (Bill) and Ruby Mae Walton (Maxey); his wife Margaret Sue Walton; his half-brother Kenneth Walton; and his nephew Lowell Brooks.

He is survived by: his children, Debby Foster of Claremore and Scott Walton (Rose) of Inola; his grandsons, Bradley Foster (Laken) of Macon, GA, Brent Foster (Jenni) of Claremore, Matt Walton (C'Ann) of Inola and Joe Walton (Shelby) of Inola; his great grandchildren, Amaeli Foster, Scotty Walton, Elizabeth Ann Walton, Collin Foster, Gloria Mae Walton, Brooks Walton, Winthrop Walton and Dean Walton; his sister-in-law Frankaleen Brooks (Larry) of Celina, TX; and his nephew Steve Brooks (Sharon) of Hideaway, TX. He is also survived by his son and daughter, but also his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
