With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Duwane Self (Claremore, Oklahoma), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Duwane left this world on October 22, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Duwane may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Duwane touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee "Bud" Self and Margie Mae Self; and his wife Carolyn. He is survived by: his children, Susan Dobbs (Charlie) and James Self (Leeanna); his siblings, Terry Self and Linda Spence; and his grandchildren, Aubrey, Colten, Gunner, Cody, Huly and Sidnie. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wards Grove Cemetery (16565 E 390 Rd, Claremore, OK 74017).
