She was predeceased by: her son Louis Arnold West; her parents, Ameil "Emile" Vaughan and Ina Vaughan (Walters); her sisters, Frances Merie Norris, Freda Vivian Fruge and Rosalie Welborn; and her close friend George.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Fuhrman (Bill) and Bonnie Flowers (Dock Jr.); her grandchildren, Trent Freeman (Sheryl), Chad Freeman and Tish Barnes (Richard E. Barnes IV); her great grandchildren, Korey and Colten Barnes; and her stepgreat-grandsons, Derek Houck (Jessica), Adam Houck (Kara) and Grant Houck.
She later was the assistant manager for her daughter Diane's Sonic, worked as a short-order cook and finally as a home healthcare worker, often caring for Alzheimer's patients younger than herself.
