He was predeceased by: his parents, Delta Butler and Eugenia Butler; and his siblings, Dorothy Cupit, Nancy Brady and Johnny Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Joy S. Butler; his children, Shannon Butler (Bonnie), Jim Butler Jr. (Angela), Joshua and Faith Butler (Mark); his grandchildren, Destiney, Serenitey, Mekenzie, Harmony, Eternitey, Cody, Alaina and Joshua; and his sister Sarah Butler. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; In-laws; many nieces and nephews.
