He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Taber and Rebecca Taber; his former wife Florene Taber; and his stepdaughter Laura Long. He is survived by: his wife Ima Long-Taber; and his children, Evelyn Lay (Allen), Paula A. Griffin (Ronnie), Sheryl Wilson, Melissa Payne and Benny Taber (Sandy). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
