It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mavis Jarvis of Claremore, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 2, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Mavis Jarvis to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parent Orval Henry Starnes; her grandmother Belle Starnes (Nichols); her husband Bill Lee Jarvis; and her brother Ronald Gene Starnes. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Jarvis (Lois), Bill Jarvis Jr. and Nijee Hassan; her grandchildren, Brandon Michael Jarvis, Maranda Talley, Brandi Jarvis and William Galyean (April); her great grandchildren, Braden Michael Jarvis and Walker Galyean; and her sisters, Barbara Bowen and Debra Sue Starnes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to be made in Mavis's honor to either the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK.
