With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy J. Rice (Claremore, Oklahoma), born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peggy J. Rice to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmer C. Townley and Elsie R. Anderson Townley; her siblings, Kathleen Chaney (Lowell), Eldon Townley (Marsha), J. R. Townley (Dorris) and Eddie Townley; and her siblings-in-law, Russel McGhee, Pat Engles, Leon Rice (Jeanell) and Leona Owens.

She is survived by : her husband Larry D. Rice; her son Nathan Todd Rice (Amanda); her friends, Stan Clark and Leo (Susie); her close friends, James and Melinda Kemp; her friends, Bill and Alline Kemp; her caregivers, Jean, Shelby, Mela, Abby, Precious and Michelle; her daughter Autumn Lea Weaver (Jeremy); her sister Melba McGhee; her grandchildren, Riley Suiter, Josie Suiter, Sophia Suiter, Addison Rice, Brooklyn Rice and Phoebe Weaver; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Townley, Curtis Owens, Carolyn Engles and Lois Messer (Larry).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 1701 W Will Rogers Blvd, Claremore, OK 74017. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Claremore (107 E Will Rogers Blvd, Claremore, OK 74017).
