He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnie Andrew and Elta Grace Sumter (Mannon); his wife Marjorie Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Clark, Marguerite Lane, Fred Thurman, Eddie Evans, Kenny Jones, Gerald Jones and Gene Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Sumter, DeLinda Alonso, Marty Hanna and Mark Sumter (Shelly); his grandchildren, Ryan Alonso (Amy), Amber Nissen (Jared), Kristen Holland (Josh), Drew Sumter, Matthew Sumter and Katie Sumter; his great grandchildren, Breanna Nissen, Troy Nissen, Kai Holland, Jude Holland, Jett Holland, Addison Alonso, Samuel Alonso and Emma Alonso; his sisters, Loretta Evans, Mary Etta Thurman and Johnie Sue Scott (Ron); and his sister-in-law Joyce Jones.
