He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvel Bert Ballenger and Ruby Odena Ballenger (Hopkins); his wife Norma Jean Ballenger; his son-in-law Roger Wayne Fent; his brother Roy; and his great grandchild Lakin McClain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Layton (Larry) of Welch and Sherri Fent of Miami; his brother Loy Ballenger of Big Cabin; his grandchildren, Rowdy Layton (Tiffany), Tara Gray (Kyle), Russell Fent (Kelli), Sara Fent and Nathan Fent (Lee Ann); and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Landry, Lucas Layton, Sage McClain, Gracie Gray, Taylor, Jace, Logan and Caleb Fent. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in laws, cousins and many, many friends.
