Helen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Helen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Helen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Howard and Ethel Howard; her brother Charles Howard Posy Howard; her grandsons, William Kyle Sutterfield and Richard Strong; and her son-in-law John Houchin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda Ruth Houchin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kay Osburn (Butch) of Hominy, Oklahoma and Gayla Smith (Darrell) of Cleveland, Oklahoma. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, extended family members, friends, coworkers.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home (108 W Delaware St, Cleveland, OK 74020). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
