She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Cowles and Betty Cowles (Alexander); her stepfather Cecil Billingsley; her husband Guy Newton of Gibson's Department Store; and her son-in-law Anthony Zarbano.
She is survived by: her daughter Amanda Bowens (Willie Bowens) of Oklahoma City; her granddaughters, Mari and Iva Bowens of Oklahoma City; her brother Dennis Cowles (Elizabeth Cowles) of Bay St; her stepmother Vallene Corbin of Port Orchard, Washington; her stepbrother Michael Brandon (Tammy Brandon) of Port Orchard, Washington; her great-niece Dana Brown (Jason Brown) of Bay St; her great-nephew Derek Kimmel (Ashley Kimmel) of Slidel, Louisiana; and also, Carson and Cameron Brown.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home (2500 W Modelle Ave, Clinton, OK 73601). Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (111 S 28th, Clinton, OK 73601).
