He was predeceased by: his parents, K. B. Jr. Cornell and Wanda Jean Cornell (McBride); his former wife Kathy Cornell; his brother Mike Cornell; and his niece Emily Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Cornell; his children, Steven Cornell (Julie) of Custer City and Amy Hunter (Aaron) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Casi Wyer (Caden), Elise Anderson (Weston), Anna Cornell, Patrick Hunter, Blair Hunter, Craig Hunter and Daniel Cornell; his great grandchildren, Maddie Wyer, JoAnn Anderson and Ava Wyer; his sister Kathleen Walker (Jim) of Oklahoma City; his parents-in-law, Dub and Margie Smith of Elk City; his brother-in-law Mike Smith (Kathy) of Elk City; his stepdaughter Lindsey Mills (John); his stepgrandchildren, Jack, Will and Ellen Mills; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Haggard (Bob) of Clinton, Sherry Staggs of Clinton, Jeff Barrick (Debbie) of Arapaho and Brad Barrick (Gaye) of Clinton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, cherished friends.

He served as a member of the Clinton Public Schools Foundation, believing strongly in investing in future generations. In recognition of his countless contributions to the community, Pat was honored as Clinton's Businessman of the Year in 2010.
