LuAnn Douglas wrote a sympathy message

“I was deeply saddened by the news of Ronald’s passing. He and I shared a living space for about 10 months during our tour in Vietnam. I got to know him very well. Okie, as we affectionately called him, was a very honest, kind, genuine man. He was obviously a good husband, father, and a great friend. He had my back on several occasions, (continued)”
