Mary Elizabeth Layton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Layton of Coalgate, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, James McAusland and Hester McAusland (Wolfe); her husband Wilson "Bob" Felix Layton; her sons, Michael Eugene Standridge and Roy Dean Standridge; her grandson Mason Lee Gaylor; and her siblings, Mozell Counterman, James McAusland Jr., Roy McAusland, Merid McAusland, Alice McAusland, Betty Stanford and Louise Bozyk.
She is survived by: her children, Enessa Renteria, Erik Hawkins of Austin, TX, Barbara Wunschel (Ray) of Heath Springs, SC, Kevin Standridge of Coalgate, OK, Michelle Birchfield (Neil) of Rattan, OK and Tanya Branam (Rick) of Coalgate, OK.; her daughter-in-law Gail Standridge of Muskogee, OK.; her grandchildren, Harlan Sale (Sabrina) of Yukon, OK, Lester Walley (April) of Del City, OK, Joshua Sale of Camden, SC, Jerad Mixon of Coalgate, OK, Teran Wood (Taylor) of The Woodlands, TX, Kyrie Standridge of Muskogee, OK, Megan Birchfield of McAlester, OK, Aubrey Morrison (Chris) of Tulsa, OK, Rachel Birchfield of Ada, OK and Cal Birchfield of Rattan, OK; her sister Patricia Townsend of Lehigh, OK.; and her pet Sammy Jo.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Chapel (400 W Queen Ave, Coalgate, OK 74538).
