He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Johnny Lee Rice and Velma Deen Sangster; his wife Sharon; his brothers, Lyndell Rice (Becky) of Colbert, OK, James Rice (Margie) of Sherman, TX and Johnny Rice of Cartwright, OK.; his children, Gary Jr. (Lacy) of Oxford, NE, Nicholas Rice of Denison, TX and Emilie (Brian Petty) of Colbert, OK.; his grandchildren, Nolan Petty, Elijah Petty, Brooks Petty, Gracie-Ann Petty, Penelope-Jane Petty, Morgan Rice, Laney Pritchett, Jacob Rice, Wyatt Rice, Hattie Rice and Lucas Rice; Velma. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the American Funeral Service - Denison (4312 W Crawford St, Denison, TX 75020). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memory Cemetery (212 Coleman, Colbert, OK 74733).
