He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Whitmire and Gona Grubb Whitmire; and his siblings, Dwayne Whitmire and Sue Chamberlain. He is survived by: his brother Gale; his wife Linda Whitmire; his children, Lori Sherrell (Mark), Sandra Shackelford (Brian) and Darell Whitmire (Sonya) of Colcord, OK; his grandchildren, Matthew Shackelford (Kristin), Luke Sherrell (Adriana (Susy)), Canaan Sherrell (Payton), Stephen Copeland, Tyler Ingram, Kaylin Ray (Jayden), Dalton Shackelford, Sawyer Sherrell (Addisyn), Lundin Whitmire and Brooklin Whitmire; his great grandchildren, Henslee Sherrell, Pryor Sherrell, Adeline Shackelford, Weston Shackelford and Calen Sherrell; and his brothers, Ken Whitmire of Colcord, OK and Steve Whitmire (Gwen) of Colcord, OK. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
