He was predeceased by: his parents, W. E. "Tom" Strawn and Alma Strawn; his wife Joan Woody; his son Billy Strawn Jr.; his siblings, J. T. Strawn, Edward Strawn, Irene Stewart and Alene Nelson; and his siblings' children, Vicki Davis, Jack Mauldin and Bob Mauldin.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy, Pagon Ballard and Peggy Strawn; his grandchildren, Sarah, Robert Vazquez, Diane, Howard Boss, Morgan and Matt McGinley; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Boss, Emily Boss and Robby Vazquez; and his sister Florence Strawn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
