We bid farewell to Mavis LaDean (Osburn) Wood of Commerce, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 4, 2025 at the age of 87. Mavis LaDean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Samuel Osburn and Norma LaDean Osburn (Ross); her husband Micky Wood; her daughter-in-law Shelly Wood; her brothers, Jerry Ellis Osburn and Rick Osburn (Joyce); her brothers-in-law, John Wright and Lee Botts; and her niece Teresa Brewer (Osburn).
She is survived by: her sisters, Cay Wright (John) and Jean Botts (Lee); her children, Debra Butcher (Joe) of Joplin, MO, Terri Cox (Rick) of Blanchard, OK and Micky "Butch" Wood Jr. (Bailey Goodall) of Joplin, MO; her grandchildren, Travis Wood (Anna), Dakota Wood, Courtney Chandler (Cox), Dalton Cox (Christina) and Gillian Butcher; and her great grandchildren, Angela Sharp, Johnathon Reynolds, James Butcher, Maci Chandler, Cruz Chandler, Asher Groh-Cox, Baylor Cox, Vivienne Cox, Cheyanne Wood, Tyler Wood, Haiden Wood, Stormy Wood, Sammy Wood and Wyatt Wood.
A reception was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mavis' Home.
