He is survived by: his wife Imogene Whelchel; and his grandchildren, Brittany Whelchel of Connerville, Jessica Beall (Anthony) of Ada, Blake Whelchel (Chesna) of Lula and Lance Whelchel of Ravia. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
