It is with sadness that the passing of Michael Allyn Tibbets of Cordell, Oklahoma is shared. Michael, born on December 23, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Tibbets and Joy Tibbets (McClintock); and his brother Hal Tibbets. He is survived by: his wife Gail Tibbets; his stepchildren, Chism Holt, Quitman Earnest of Retrop, Jaden, Kimberly Palmer of Cordell, Tanner Holt (Alicia) of Cordell and Colten Holt (Katie) of Cordell; his nieces and nephews, Cassidy Tibbets (Barbara) of New York, Kelly Craddock of Oregon and Heath Patterson of San Angelo, Texas; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Spradlin (Rene) of Buffalo, Oklahoma and Dalene Schmidt (Les) of Dill City. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren as well as other extended family members and many friends.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lee's Hometown Funeral Home (1217 W Gary Blvd, Clinton, OK 73601). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
