He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Hugh "Bill" Carter and Betty Sue Carter (Fewel). He is survived by: his wife Anita Sue Carter; his children, Delia Carter Griffith (Jeremy) of Coweta, Oklahoma and Ted Carter (Mikki) of Coweta, Oklahoma; his stepdaughters, Joi Horan (Daniel) of Chicago and Candice Churchill of Leominster, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Cordelia Griffith, Brayden Carter and Hank Griffith; his stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Horan, Joshua Horan and Atalie Opal Churchill; and his brother Mack Carter of Coweta, Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
