He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Hayes and Betty Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law John Laidley; his grandchildren, James and Anna; his son Travis Hayes; his great grandchild Alicea; and his brother Randy Hayes (Beth). He is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
He spent a lifetime using music and kindness to bring joy to others, including donating a piano to his church just a couple of months ago.
