He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Walters and Bertha Walters (Jones); and his sibling L. B. Walters. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jessie Standridge (Ray), L. D. Walters, Billy Walters (Ann), Erma Wood (Burl), Ocie Wood (Deward) and Virgil "Peck" Walters (Elfriede); his sister-in-law Ethel Walters; his children, Patty Matthews of The Village and Steven Walters (Jennie) of Krebs; his grandchildren, Christa Matthews, Dominique Harris (Brittany), Megan Walters and Gracie West; his great grandchild Jalil Morris; and his brothers, John Walters and Leon "Sonny" Walters (Emma). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
