He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Simpson; his brother Bill Simpson; and his children, Susan Simpson and Terry Schlegel. He is survived by: his parent Leslie Simpson; his wife Patsy Diann Hubbard; his children, Michael Simpson (Kimberly), Bobby Simpson, Shawna Powell (Billy) and Kimberly Carmen (James); his grandchildren, Bria Cleveland, Jaimee McCraw, Brandon McCraw, Kelsey Cathcart, Clayton Powell, Grant Powell, Miles Simpson, Tanner Simpson, Logan Nicklas, Haley Reece, Preston Carmen, Jillian Schlegel and Jake Schlegel; and his brothers, Jim Simpson (Kay) and Robert "Bob" Simpson. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (402 E Broadway St, Cushing, OK 74023). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Free Will Baptist Church (1146 E North St, Cushing, OK 74023).
