He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas and Ernestine Minnie "Dollie" Raines (Hembree); his wife Paulette Raines; and his siblings, Jimmie Raines, Pat Raines Swartz, Sue Raines Uyeda, Ruth Johnson Flood, Carl Johnson, Bud Johnson, May Johnson Harris and John Johnson.

He is survived by: his significant other Mary Watts; his children, Daniel Raines, Jr. (Angie) of Oklahoma City and Tasha Clewell (Aaron) of Watonga; his grandchildren, Miles, Rita Clewell of Watonga, Zoie Hardy of North Carolina and Sophia Raines of New Jersey; his great grandchild Vedea Hardy of North Carolina; and his brothers, Chuck Raines (Cindy) of Yuma and Joe Raines (Pam) of Mannford, Oklahoma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
