He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brooks and Vivian Brooks; his siblings, Barbara (Jim Rich), Peggy (Don Whorton), Johnny Brooks III (Fuzz) of St Louis and Billy Joe (Pat Brooks); his former wife Edora Brooks of Summerfield; his grandson Kendal James Pogue; Jacob Kirkendoll of Cushing.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sandy (Charles Starks), Vivian (Ray Phillips), Lisa Brooks of Gore, OK, Teresa (Justin Workman), Lula (Steve Garvin), Carla Stewart of Shreveport, LA and Shawn (Danny Cook); his significant other Celena Bailey Brooks; his children, Alan Morton, William Morton and Paula Kirkendoll; his grandchildren, Johnny Pogue, Kenneth Pogue, Jennifer Pogue, Andrew Morton, Aaron Morton (Patricia) and Chase Morton; and his great grandchildren, Lexi Day, Trinity Pogue, William Pogue, Ethan Kitchen, Ebony Pogue, Dashia Pogue, Jewelz Kitchen, Jade Morton, Drew Morton, Abigale Morton and Ashely Morton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
