She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Elmer and Alice Fay Ervin (Morris); her sons, Willie Melvin Shirley, Jr. and Tommy Lee Ervin; her grandson Kobe Shirley; and her siblings, Freddie Ervin, Vivian Williams, Otis Gene Ervin, Virgie Nero-Holmes, Stanley Ervin, Donnie Lee Ervin and Barbara Steele.
She is survived by: her daughter Anita Shirley; her grandchildren, Iisha Shirley, Chad Shirley, Ra'Chel Shirley Knight, Willie Melvin "Trey" Shirley, III, Cameron Shirley, Callie Shirley, Tammy Ervin, Aundre'McDonald, Thomas McDonald, LaKeisha Thomas, Demekedrick Bradford and Shamar Bradford; and her sister-in-law Gwen Ervin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
